Final Assignment - Design, Exploration, & Application
REFLECTION
Experience
The experience so far foe Semester 2 was overall stressful but in a good way. It kind of challenge me in a way where I have to do better than the previous semester. Plus, since we get some freedom to use whatever fonts we want & what not. I might as well do my best & give my all for this semester with the given freedom of expression. I can say that I had more fun with Typography in this semester than the previous.
Observation
What I have observed so far is that, I could've put as much effort as I did for this semester in the last semester. But, since I can't really go back & change my ways. I might as well do it now for this semester. Last semester taught me patience, this semester taught me how to think for myself. FOr example, the final assignment requires us to figure out or find our own assignment for us to do. I feel like this teaches us to not just learn things that are given to you straight, but that we should also go & find elsewhere to learn & discover new things.
Findings
The only findings that I was able to find so far was that I prefer to design typefaces. as I was doing my final assignment, I can see myself enjoying it because it's what I've always wanted to do since studying Typography: To design my own typefaces. Another thing I found is that, designing a typeface takes a lot of time & research, but I wouldn't mind investing in it at all if I enjoy it.
